i just showed it to Roxanna (head of the association) and she loooooved it! That makes me very pleased. Also, Chaska Tours had a look-see at the facebook page and all my materials and agreed to meet with me! HOLLA. Our meeting yesterday was FANTASTIC and they are excited to set up some tourist groups to the site! i'm so glad it's working out with them, because they are one of the few agencies dedicated to eco-tourism. They put a huge emphasis on preserving traditional culture, paying fair wages to every local involved (guides, partners, etc.), and "leaving no footprint" (tagline). i heart them.
heck! i welcome your thoughts too!!!
i only have ONE WEEK (and a couple days cuz i'm nice like that) to get these relationships set up and ready for execution in 2010! kiiiiiiiiinda stressed. But it's still an incredibly fun experience.
We had a superneat night last night up in the San Blas barrio, listening (and watching) rambunctious Argetinean bands rockin out! i've decided to pass up a trip to Buenos Aires (nervous about dinero) but i am definitely getting my fill here in Cusco! And on that note... think i'm gonna stop by a mercado to pick up some woven leg-warmers to adorn my flipflops! Their bohemian style is just SO addicting!!!!!
